A bus driver has died and 13 passengers have been injured after a crash on the Hume Highway in regional NSW.

The male bus driver was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

“Paramedics are currently treating 13 bus passengers for a range of injuries including lacerations and one man with a suspected broken leg,” police said. “Police have been told none of the injuries are life-threatening.”

The driver of the truck, which was described by police as a “heavy vehicle”, was uninjured and has been taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
