Car torched, multiple shots fired, and a crashed ute: Brazen attack in Sydney’s west
A car has been torched, a barbershop sprayed with bullets, and two men have been arrested at the scene of a crashed ute in Sydney’s west early on Thursday morning, in incidents which police are treating as related.
NSW Police responded to reports of shots fired at the Universal Barbershop on Cleve Close in Mount Druitt, near the Westfield shopping centre and Mount Druitt train station, at about 2.20am on Thursday.
So many bullets were fired, police had to use lettered evidence markers after running out of numbered ones, Channel Nine has reported.
At 2.30am, a car was found on fire behind a McDonald’s restaurant in the neighbouring suburb of Rooty Hill.
Finally, at 3.00am, police responded to a crash on Moody Street in Rooty Hill, where a white ute was found to crashed into a house. Two men were arrested at the scene.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the incidents as related.
