NRL 2025 LIVE: Panthers, Cowboys in tight battle before Rabbitohs-Roosters grudge match

Penrith five-eighth Jack Cole, who was caught out of position for that last Cowboys try, now throws an intercept and the Cowboys are away down the right, with winger Robert Derby looking odds on to score. But Panthers centre Casey McLean chases him down and the home side gets out of jail.
But Reece Robson is now back on the field and North Queensland would be delighted to have scored the only try while their star hooker was in the sin bin.
Now the Panthers look to have created an overlap on the left but Daine Laurie’s cutout pass to his winger is almost intercepted – Derby gets his hand to the ball but knocks it on and Penrith get another set in striking distance.
Panthers 12, Cowboys 12 after 38 minutes
