The Oscars typically mark the end of the awards season, which means it’s the last chance for the year’s biggest films to battle it out for prizes. Unlike last year (the year of “Barbenheimer”), this year’s results are far less predictable. Will Emilia Perez overcome its controversy to claim best picture, or will it lose to The Brutalist – or any of the other strong best picture contenders, for that matter? Will Adrien Brody continue his winning streak in the best actor category, or will Timothee Chalamet snatch the win, as he did at the SAG Awards last week? One thing is certain: we’re in for a few surprises.

Our fashion editor Damien Woolnough will be guiding us through the best looks on the red carpet. We have culture editor-at-large Michael Idato bringing us all the action from backstage, and Karl Quinn, Thomas Mitchell, Garry Maddox and I will be bringing you the awards news as it happens.
