We have some updated information from an earlier post, as the situation evolves.

A widened watch-and-act alert is in place for Crowes, Johanna Heights, Wangerrip, Yuulong and Graham Junction in south-west Victoria.

A bushfire at Lavers Hill-Cobden Road at Chapple Vale is not yet under control and people in the area are being told to leave now.

The blaze is moving south towards Yuulong.

The warning says that walkers along the Great Ocean Walk who are west of Cape Otway should move to a place of shelter, such as the beach or a vehicle.

A community fire refuge is located at Otway CFA Fire Station, 8-14 Lavers Hill-Cobden Road, Lavers Hill.
