WA news LIVE: Liberals win Kalamunda, Basil Zempilas on track to be leader of the opposition; Bryce Cotton leaving Perth Wildcats

Making headlines today is new analysis which reveals the likelihood of a family sending their child to a private high school, based on the suburb they live in.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Peppermint Grove had the highest private school attendance rate for high school students at nearly 95 per cent.
Meanwhile, a cluster of suburbs in the south recorded the lowest private school enrolments in the metropolitan area, well under the state average.

And in property news, new figures show an increasing number of west coast property owners are selling their homes for a profit – except for a handful of high-density neighbourhoods in the city.
Perth now has the third-highest rate of profit-making sales across the capital city markets at 97.4 per cent, with houses far less likely to see a loss according to CoreLogic’s latest Pain and Gain report.
But not all suburbs are feeling the love when it comes time to sell.
In the Perth LGA, which includes the suburbs of East Perth, West Perth and the CBD itself, more than 18 per cent of sales lost money.
