Woman stabbed to death in home in Melbourne’s east; man arrested

A man has been arrested after a woman was fatally stabbed in Melbourne’s east on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called after reports that a woman had been stabbed at a home on Cousin Drive in Bayswater about 11.15am.
The woman was found dead inside the property. She has not yet been formally identified.
A 47-year-old Bayswater man was arrested at a nearby address soon after.
Three teenage witnesses were at the scene at the time of the incident, with one receiving a minor injury.
Homicide Squad detectives will investigate the incident.
